Individuals from certain countries, must apply to the immigration office to obtain VISA to enter Republic of Panama. All visa applications must be submitted bya Panamanian attorney.
HOW TO APPLY FOR PANAMA VISA?
We apply on behalf of applicants to obtain visa for the applicants and pon approval, we advise you to visit a Panama embassy or consulate to have his/her passport stamped. Once this process is completed, the applicant can purchase a round trip ticket and enter Panama. The Panama visa process usually takes between 1-3 months. In order to apply for Panama VISA, applicants must retain services of a Panamanian attorney and sign the POWER OF ATTORNEY.

CITIZENS OF WHAT COUNTRIES NEED TO APPLY FOR VISA?
If you are citizen of countries such as AFRICA, INDIA, PAKISTAN, BANGLADESH, HAITI, INDONESIA, EGYPT, IRAN, AFGANISTAN or OTHER MIDDLE EAST COUNTRIES, you need to apply for a tourist visa before entering Panama. If the visa is granted, it is usually for a period of 14 days however duration of visa can be extended.
Panama visa is not required for individuals of Friendly Nations. For example if you are from USA or any European country, there is no need to apply for a visa to enter Panama.

WHAT IS PANAMA VISA REQUIREMENTS?

VISA EXEMPTION:
The immigration Law, EXECUTIVE DECREE # 521
Article 1: “Any person of nationality who requires a visa to enter the Republic of Panama, who has a valid Visa or Residency, duly issued by Canada, the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Australia, the Republic of Korea, the State of Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Singapore and any of the States that make up the European Union, may enter the national territory.
Article 2: The visa granted by the countries mentioned in the previous article must be a multiple entry visa, has been used previously in the territory of the granting State and its validity shall not be less than six (6) months at the time of entering Panamanian territory. . If you meet the following requirements, you will qualify to enter Panama.
Each applicant must have;
- A valid passport with minimum of three months to expire.
- A multiple entry visa with six (6) months of remaining validity from one of the countries mentioned above.
- Proof of economic solvency in the aount of $500. upon entering Panama.

What is Stamped Visa?
Panamanian embassy, consulate or Panama immigration office in Panama City, have authority to issue tourist visa to individuals from certain countries such as: Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Georgia, Peru, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe. With Panama “STAMPED VISA”, the applicant can enter Republic of Panama.
What is Authorized Visa?
An “authorized visa,” is required if you are citizen of the following counties: Bangladesh, Cuba, Haiti, India, Pakistan, China, and Africa, etc. The visa requirements for each country may be different and we advise our clients to check with us before planning a trip to Panama. It’s recommended to apply for a visa at least 3 months before planning your trip to Panama.
We suggest that all citizens of countries that are not included in the ” FRIENDLY NATIONS “, to apply for an AUTHORIZED VISA. Upon approval of the visa, the applicant is allowed to enter Panama.
What Is Panama NOMAD visa?
After Pandemic period in May of 2021, Panama initiated a new residency program called “Remote Worker Visa program” (Visa de Corta Estancia ). To qualify under this program, it is required that NOMAD applicants earn $36,000. per year.
Other requirements include medical insurance covering your full stay in Panama and an affidavit of non-acceptance of any employment in the Panamanian territory. An immigration fee of $250. must be paid to National Immigration Service for issuing of NOMAD visa.
